You have two choices: stay with us by registering “with accommodation”, or book one of the hotels near the campus yourself.

Option 1 · Register with accommodation

Choose the “With Accommodation” fee when you register. Your stay is arranged for you, and breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea/coffee are provided throughout the accommodation period of your event.

Register “Without Accommodation” and book directly with any of the hotels below. Lunch and tea/coffee are still provided during the event.

How to reach

Transport

Pondicherry University is located in Kalapet, Puducherry. The campus sits along the East Coast Road (ECR), roughly 11 km north of Puducherry town and 150 km from Chennai.

Coming from

Chennai airport

  1. Take the metro from Chennai International Airport to Alandur, then switch lines to reach Koyambedu (CMBT) — or take an MTC local bus/metro connection toward Guindy.
  2. From Koyambedu or Guindy, board a state-run (SETC/PRTC) or private AC/Non-AC bus heading toward Puducherry.
  3. Ask the bus conductor to drop you at the University bus stop (Gate-2), which is 11 kms before Puducherry City.

Non-AC bus: ₹150 to ₹200AC / Volvo bus: ₹300 to ₹500

Coming from

Puducherry airport

  • Direct: take an auto rickshaw from the airport to the University.
  • Cheaper: take the bus or an auto-rickshaw to the Puducherry main bus stand and board a local bus to reach University.

Auto rickshaw: around ₹350 to ₹500

Puducherry railway station

  • Direct: take an auto rickshaw from the railway station to the University.
  • Cheaper: take the bus or an auto-rickshaw to the Puducherry main bus stand and board a local bus to reach University.

  • Board a local bus from the Puducherry Main Bus Stand to Pondicherry University.
